Existentialism concretizes and personalizesphilosophicalquestions that make a great difference to the totality of our lives, such as theism vs. atheism. Course will explore theist (Pascal, Marcel, Dostoyevski, Lewis) and atheist (Sartre, Camus, Beckett, Weisel) alternatives in philosophy,fiction, and autobiography. Quizzes on readings and take homefinal essay exam or term paper.
