HIST8215 · History
Morrissey College of Arts & Sciences
This course is designed to launch you full speed into writing an article-length work of original historical research. Topics will address Europe in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. After assessing prize-winning first publications by other graduate students, you will write an abstract and historiographical review; create bibliographies, an outline, and schedule; and produce partial, first (not rough!), and final drafts. Peer review will be a crucial part of our process. The goal is to complete a thirty-to-forty-page essay of publishable quality.
