Satisfies the Post 1900 Latin American requirement for HS majors.This course will examine the impact of music, cinema, radio, art, and journalism in the works of canonical writers such as Alejo Carpentier, Jorge Luis Borges, Gabriel Garca Mrquez, Julio Cortzarand Carlos Fuentes. Students will reflect not only on the political discourse of this authors, but also the transformative impact of mass media in their writings.
