PHIL5665 · Philosophy
Morrissey College of Arts & Sciences
Although this course includes short works by typicallymedieval philosophers (Boethius, Anselm, and a little of Aquinas) it also uncovers the more general world and llfeview common to the culture of the only age in history ever called "Christendom." in an illuminating contrast to our own in its philosophy, theology, art, architecture, science, language, poetry, and psychology. We appreciate everything best by contrast,so this course is not only about our remote ancestors but also about ourselves.
