This graduate course delves into how memories are formed, stored, retrieved, and shared. We will approach topics in the study of human memory from multiple levels of analysis, from the neural networks that represent previously experienced content to the stories we tell ourselves and others about our past. Through interactive lectures and student-led discussions of journal articles, students will gain a deeper understanding of how memory is represented, and how its functions impact everything from decision-making to social connection.
