Building on foundational knowledge and concepts, thiscourse prepares students to address the diverse and evolving needs of adults with acute health problems and exacerbations of chronic conditions. Studentswill apply relevant theories from nursing and other Disciplines, along withresearch and evidence-based guidelines to support clinical reasoning andjudgment. Emphasis is placed on person-centered approaches to prevent andmanage patient health problems and restore optimal health. Students will deepentheir understanding of nursing actions necessary to provide high-quality, collaborative, patient-centered care.
