Connell School of Nursing
This course introduces students to the professional nursing role, including standards of practice, ethical and legal issues, and domains of clinical nursing care. Students learn foundational concepts and skills to provide person-centered care to diverse patient populations. Students begin to develop competence in communication, health assessment, clinical judgment, patient education, and documentation in a simulated clinical setting. Emphasis will be placed on creating a culture of quality and safety and fostering professional and therapeutic interpersonal and interprofessional relationships.
