This open-level course welcomes students of all backgroundswhether you're brand new to tap or an experienced danceroffering a supportive environment to develop confidence and skill in this dynamic art form. Through technique, choreography, and historical context, students will expand their movement vocabulary, explore musicality, and engage in improvisation. The class also highlights the cultural and historical roots of tap dance, connecting steps and rhythms to their origins. Weekly practice, assignments, and participation in discussions will be essential to growth. By the end of the semester, students will have built a solid foundation in tap dance and a deeper appreciation for its artistry and history.
