Boston College Law School
The Advanced Innocence Clinic allows students who have taken Wrongful Convictions and completed the BC Innocence Clinic the opportunity, with permission of the Innocence Program Director, to develop advanced and/or new lawyering skills on BC Innocence Program cases and/or policy reform collaborations. Advanced Innocence Clinic students work under the supervision of the BCIP Director and Staff Attorneys. Representative activities include drafting motions for post-conviction relief and supporting memoranda of law on behalf of wrongfully convicted clients, working with forensic experts, preparing for post-conviction discovery and evidentiary hearings, and collaborating with community partners on innovative law reforms aimed at preventing or remedying wrongful convictions. Students may earn 2-3 credits in the Advanced Innocence Clinic.
