Scores average answered numerical ratings. Older evaluation records may summarize whole sections and have no written comment. Written reviews are counted separately. How scores work
Father McNellis is big on lecturing but he also looks for class participation. You will have to read a lot but you can tell that he loves to teach and wants everyone to understand.
Fr. McNellis made me question why I came to BC. It was 6 hours each week of him reading monotonously and going on tangents mid sentence. The class was heavily influenced by Catholicism. One class was dedicated to talking about why men should head of the household. I did learn a lot and bonded with my classmates on our hatred for the class.
You will suffer during first semester. You will get a D on the first paper. You will drown in readings. You will want to drop it in the first week. Don't. Fr. McNellis will turn you into a MUCH better student. This class taught me so much about myself and the world around me. The bonds you make in this class will be unlike any other class.Good luck
