Professor Canales is very clear about all assignments and grading and honestly wants you to succeed. She's very considerate about students' workload and tries her best to make the class engaging. High participation grades are quite hard to obtain, but if you put in consistent effort it's achievable.
Paulina really is a great professor and tries her best to teach. She is a native speaker, which sometimes causes her to have difficulty explaining grammar topics. However, if you ask her to explain them more she will try her best. She also tries her best to give you a good grade while still following the rules of the Spanish department.
While Paulina is not always the best at explaining things, she genuinely wants you to succeed and seems to understand how hard learning a new language can be. Although some of her teaching on grammar can get kind of fuzzy, if you study the vocab and do all the MSL homework it is not hard to get decent grades on the in class exams.
Paulina is a kind professor and pretty straight-forward. If you do the work, try your best, and study, you should be fine. She tries her best to grade fairly. She is a native speaker, so sometimes her explanations are a bit confusing. Overall, she is really kind and the class is exactly what you expect. Study the vocab and practice the topics.

Cares about students. Wants you to succeed. Fair in grading. All that you could ask for in a core class professor.

She was very nice and the class was pretty easy if you have taken Spanish before. Make sure to participate and study the vocab and you'll do fine
