Terribly organized class—outdated lectures, confusing modules, and you end up teaching yourself. Prof is never available and gets annoyed if you ask for help. Assignments are wildly inconsistent and unclear, with feedback that makes no sense. He does the bare minimum for an online class. Avoid if you value structure or support.
This class is a mess. The Assignment grading is delayed for over a month, emails go unanswered, and instructions are vague. Worse, some lecture content is factually wrong—like misinterpreting logit regression coefficients. You'll have to teach yourself. If you want a structured, fair class, avoid this one.
Unsure about the "dry wit" other students referred to; sadly, I did not pick up on this at all. My class was asynchronous and he reused a series of sloppy lectures from years prior. Often, he would give up on explaining a concept mid-sentence. Course schedule referred to the spring semester when I took him in the fall. Lazy teaching style. Beware.
I took Father McGowan my freshman year for stats and I found it extremely challenging. It's important to keep up with the homework and not let it slide AT ALL! Don't slack and if you enjoy dry wit, you might marginally like this class. Take it...but be prepared to work for your grade.
i don't like him, he is very unclear, and he has a very awkward accent. also, no one knows what it means when he says that cows used to rule the land in the old country.

Easily the worst class at BC. It is actually infuriating that this class exists.

Awful. No guidance and arbitrary grading. Do not take.

He was one of my favorite professors. His dry wit and great anecdotes made a boring topic interesting, and he's very helpful during office hours.
