Prof. Doherty was one of the best teachers I had as an undergraduate, and now 20 years later, I'm *still* using things I learned in his class. Very inventive, and very personable.
Professor Doherty was one of the best teachers i ever had at BC as an undergraduate, friendly, willing to talk to you outside class, and inventive in the classroom. i was never bored as i was in so many other classes.

Prof. Doherty inspired me to pursue a career as a writer, which I've been doing now for 35 years. Great guy.
