This class was mainly graded on 2 papers and 1 group project and weekly discussion posts. While the class was not difficult, I found that papers were graded rather harshly and classes had discussion on abstract topics that went beyond a general literature core. Other than that a nice teacher and had good conversations.

Gannon was an atrocious professor ... expected students to draw impossible connections on their own and discussed irrelevant topics in class. He had no clear criteria for any of his papers, and would critique every detail no matter how often you changed it. His lectures were uninteresting, and his ego was through the roof.

Gannon is fine. Pretty easy. Don't have to do readings. Make friends in your class. Take notes occasionally. 2 tests, 2 papers, and participation are the only grades.

Lectures were not engaging. He talks about abstract topics and ideas that are interesting but go far beyond the text and anything we'd expect from literature. Harsh grader and will try to nitpick every little word you write in your paper.

The class was overall good, the reading was kind of heavy but nothing I wasn't expecting. Most of the grade is made up of 2 papers and 2 exams, so it is easy to screw up if you aren't on top of things.

Professor Matt was a great guy and overall the class was not a ton of work. We had weekly discussion posts. My only issue with this class was that majority of the grade came from the papers we wrote, which I felt were graded pretty harshly. Some of the feedback was also a bit unclear. Great guy though and super fun to talk to.
