The absolute best Philosophy prof, hands down. Never met a guy who cares more about his students and wants them to succeed. Class is an easy A, but you will still leave with transformational knowledge. Cannot recommend enough!
His lectures often feel really light for how funny and engaging they are. He actually used the readings for discussions, which made them worth the time and effort. The midterm was an online paper in a locked-down browser, but the questions were broad enough to write about anything. He is open to negotiating the syllabus, including the final!
Prof. Ayesta is awesome, definitely take him for Philosophy of the Person I and/or II! Pretty chill grading, 2 easy-ish written exams, good extra credit opportunities, and fun class environment. I would take advantage of his office hours because he is always really helpful and welcoming :)
Prof Jeronimo is awesome. Class is engaging and overall is fun to show up to. Attendance is mandatory but other than that it's been great having him. I've taken him twice and neither time disappointed. Please take this lads class.
Professor Ayesta Lopez cares about his students and it is very clear he loves teaching and wants to make his lectures as interesting as possible. Attendance is mandatory and you are required to participate. As long as you are aware of what the readings consist of, you speak in class, and you manage your time well, you will succeed.
Manageable class with fair grading (wouldn't say easy A but it is very possible). He uses obscure examples in class that throw some students off, but they help you remember the concepts. The exams are oral, but he gives you a list of questions ahead of time and will ask you 5 from that list. Cares about his students and tries to get to know them.
