Professor Park is one of the best professors I've ever had. I took his class to fulfill an art core, but he genuinely made music theory interesting to me. He is extremely approachable, and his style of teaching makes the content really clear. The class is a LOT of work, but his jokes, kindness, and intelligence make it well worth the time.

If you are taking music theory for core requirement, don't take this class. He gave tons of daily homework and taught things that aren't our level. One time I found out a junior in music major had the exact same lesson right before us because our notes were the same. Final was crazy hard too.

The subject of music theory is hard and a lot of material has to be learned, but he is very accommodating and kind. Lectures are straightforward, but he will take time to help and clarify. There is a lot of daily homework since it's a fundamentals class (all practice exercises). A little awkward and uses dad jokes, but that adds to the fun of class
