LOVED. Such an interesting lecturer and seems like a genuinely kind person. The class itself wasn't too bad- graded on TA session participation, weekly open note quizzes, as well as two exams that were manageable. Definitely recommend and would take any class this man taught.
This class was so interesting, his slides were really helpful and lectures were easy to follow. You can tell how passionate about this subject he is. There were weekly timed quizzes that were open note and 2 exams. I really enjoyed this class!
Good class. Professor Mallampalli is very informed and provides interesting lectures. The class is really easy. No papers, just weekly take-home quizzes and easy midterm and final.
He gives out weekly quizzes which are fairly easy if you do the readings/attend the lectures (no need to do both). He literally gives out the answers for some of those quizzes from time to times. Class content is fairly easy and his explanation is slide-based. Exams are basically memorizing class content.
Took Hist II Atlantic Worlds w/ Mallampalli. He's a knowledgeable, funny guy. There's weekly open note/book quizzes on the reading. There's no assignments. Only tests are the midterm and final which is the only work you have to put in all semester. If many students got a question on a quiz wrong, he would often give us points back. Highly recommend
