Terrific teacher, who is not easy specifically because he challenges his students to think deeply and clearly. In other words, everything one could want in a teacher. I have carried for a lifetime the insights he catalyzed.
Chris was a very clever, thoughtful professor of Classical political science. Unlike many professors, he never disguised his opinions as 'facts' or pretended that he didn't have his opinions. Great guy to talk to.

Had him freshman year - Bruell and Landy - studying Plato all semester. Both are brilliant. Great stories.
