Professor Artner is awesome! He is super engaging and stimulates interest in the material. I would take him again and again! Homework is light and no exams. Papers are manageable if you meet with him, and he allows rewrites. Final is easy if you read the material and engaged in class.

Professor Artner is super passionate about philosophy. His classes are super interesting and the no technology rule makes sure everyone stays engaged. Not too much homework each night and a couple essays per semester. I absolutely loved this class.

I really liked his lectures and I enjoyed the discussion format of the class. Grades papers really slow but he provides a ton of feedback

He is very passionate about philosophy, which makes him an exceptional teacher of the topic; yet, he has strict policies such as no electronics, weird paper formatting, and harsh criticism of your writing. When you make a mistake in your writing he assumes you did something wrong rather than provide constructive criticism.
