Great prof! Had him for both Phil I and Phil II, and he was the best! He is a fair grader, but you'll still need to prepare for the exams. All exams were done in the classroom, but it wasn't stressful. Great option for any Phil class!

Really down to earth guy. Literally met him in the hallway before class and introduced himself as "Hi, I'm Bill" and then gives the most mindblowing lectures. A great guy. Makes a require core course actually enjoyable especially for non-majors.

The kindest professor I've taken here. Lectures were always funny and full of jokes, making an otherwise bland (in my opinion) topic pretty interesting. Grades very generously and genuinely cares about his students. Replies quickly to emails and gives thoughtful feedback on all assignments, but above all is just an all-around great guy.

I took this to get my philosophy requirement out of the way but got so much more out of it. I still go back to Father Bill for advice! He wants everyone to do well and clearly respects his students. He's also very sarcastic and witty. Some assignments can be annoying, but overall it's so worth it. Don't waste your time with anyone else! Take him!

Woody's lectures are engaging and often entertaining. He is a pretty lenient grader when it comes to writing assignments and provides study materials that nearly mirror the exams. There is not a lot of work besides readings which are thoroughly explained in class. One of the better philosophy of the person professors.
