Scores average answered numerical ratings. Older evaluation records may summarize whole sections and have no written comment. Written reviews are counted separately. How scores work
If your entire life consists of studying or you are a genius, then there is a *chance* you will do decently in this class. Otherwise, for the average joe, this class and Folker will strip you of any self-worth & you'll find yourself crying on the bus after exams. On the plus side, you won't be alone since the average for exams is mid-50s range.
I want to respond to the above poster. I think Professor Folker is great, and a fantastic lecturer that makes you think about biology in a new way. His tests are challenging, but if you understand the points that he makes about kinetics, thermodynamics, and forces, there's no reason that you can't succeed (and get an A) in this class.
