Was definitely a goofy character, and he seems a bit awkward in front of the class, but for me this made the class more fun. Chaotic energy, and you know things are getting gritty when he starts using the chalkboard to explain something.

Nice guy but cant teach for the life of him. Unless you can teach yourself the material dont take a course with him. Doesn't complete notes in class or submit completed notes on Canvas. Constantly says he doesn't know what he's doing. Forgetful and unable to actually teach.

If you have to take finite, Contreras is a solid option. The class is boring but the concepts are clear with the packets he gives. The exams are ok if you study and attendance isn't mandatory. I would take it if you have to get your math core.

This course is so frustrating because he does not teach in a style that works for me. His lectures aren't helpful whatsoever. He mentions a definition one time without using it in context, and then uses that word in a future definition even though the class still doesn't know what it means. Tests are meh. Uses Pearson which sucks. Frustrated.

Super super chill. Class is not mandatory and he is really lenient on homework deadlines. Tests are easy and the homework questions will prepare you for them. Lectures can be boring and he is a bit scattered but overall an easy course.

The class is really boring and his lectures are not super helpful. It sometimes seems like he doesn't know how to explain some topics (like you just have to know them), and he's definitely all over the place. Kinda conceptual course material but it's not that hard if you study the course worksheets.

He is a very knowledgeable person, but not the best teacher. Very scatter brained in my opinion and slow lectures. Mostly, I just took my own notes outside of class.
