Math is not my strong suit, so taking Prof Hulse proved to be a godsend. He holds office hours regularly, is easily accessible via email, and gave detailed explanations of complicated math problems. A very professional man who wants you to succeed. Without his help I would not have done as well completing my math core.

Calc 1. Great professor, kind, understanding, funny. Would recommend.

Professor Hulse taught Calc 1. It was a huge course, so there were multiple different teachers for it. He was very funny, and from a teaching perspective he was adequate at teaching information well. He also was available for office hours and helped me a lot (calc is hard). Taking him for lecture is a good idea.

Hulse's class was a random hodge-podge of disconnected math concepts that were poorly explained. Hulse was easily accessible, but he has an arrogant streak that sometimes made him rude and obnoxious. The work for the course is brutal. You'll dedicate everything you have only to come up short with a poor grade. I regret ever taking his course.
