I have never reviewed a professor before, but I had to make an exception for Meghna. Her lectures are incoherent, preachy, and her grading makes no sense. Multiple online quizzes with answers that are the exact same. Everything graded harshly for no rationale for where points were deducted. Not a single thing about this class makes sense. AVOID.

I am so sorry. This is a horrible class. I have never experienced teaching quality this poor. I do not understand why a single person recommended this to me. I am glad she is not returning to Boston College, but I fear for the next group of students who have to go through this. She took course content that I am fascinated by and just ruined it.

If I could give her a 0/5, I would. Her quizzes make no sense. Midterm was graded VERY harsh, questions made no sense. Her lectures are incoherent, psychopathic, pointless, and confusing. Ppts are entirely useless. I am so disappointed at having taken this class. Complete waste of my time, and of everyone else's. Her lack of respect is astounding.

I have never written a review before, but because of this course I must. I would HIGHLY recommend to NOT take this class. She is hard to understand at times and the exams are difficult despite doing the readings. Reading heavy and be prepared to not understand what is going on at all. Take a different professor if possible.

Canvas quizzes not graded correctly and she refused to fix it - quizzes are hard. Confusing lectures jumped from one thing to something else entirely. Even when paying attention I couldn't follow the lecture. Extra credit at the end of the semester saved my grade. It's feasible to finish with an A but be prepared to have no idea what's going on.

I have never written a review for a professor before, but after taking this class, it felt necessary. You will be confused 24/7. Be ready as well to jump through history with no apparent reason. PS: exams don't make sense. Nothing makes sense. I literally questioned my existence in that class. Good luck to you.

Perhaps the only saving grace of this class is that she is an extremely lenient grader; I don't know anyone who did not get an A in the class. Other than that, the class is extremely cumbersome and full of lengthy and boring readings. She does give extensions without reasonable circumstances. Overall average class and professor.

I felt like if you did the reading, you didn't need to go to the lectures and vice-versa. Prof Chaudhuri's lectures are good and the media she uses is interesting but the only drawback of the class is that she speaks very quickly and is difficult to understand, especially with a mask. Otherwise, exams are simple and the grading criteria is clear.

HUGE lecture, only assignments throughout the semester were tweets which were fun and you could just kinda rework what other people said. Midterm was kind of a slap in the face, the final the TA's basically said we would all do well on. Tbh the class literally was a free for all. I attended in total maybe 5 classes and got an A

Absolutely useless, does not answer any doubts (in fact, she'll blatantly tell you to "do it yourself"), gives no guidance on the material, etc. Don't waste your time taking globalization with her, she's a horrible professor and lacks the compassion and approachability to be a strong educator (I have a 3.80 for reference).

Awesome professor! Its a big lecture class, and if your not interested in the material it may get a little boring. With this being said she is very real, and makes every effort to connect with the students. Extremely understanding as well and very approachable. Put in the effort and you will get the results you want.

One of the most down-to-earth professors I have ever had. Was super lenient with deadlines IF you were clear with your situation. There is a ton of reading, but it's usually explained well in the lectures if you didn't understand something. The frequent discussion posts keep you on top of things and are a big part of your grade. Would recommend!

Professor Chaudhuri is the best of the best!!! She is brilliant, such a good lecturer, and just the nicest person. If you get the chance to take her class, you must!!!
