Father Farrell is the most caring, open-minded individual I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is extremely encouraging and genuinely wants his students to succeed. Class is never boring, readings are extremely reasonable, and his wit is the best. The semester isn't even over and I'm looking for more classes to take with him.
He's one of the best professors I've ever had. He makes learning both worth it and fun. He's funny, and his work load is so light that it's almost an "easy" class. I would recommend this professor to anyone. This is what learning at universities should be. It's academically engaging not grueling.
TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN! He da man. I was never interested in Literature before I took his class. If you keep up with the reading, you should be able to get A. He is probably the best teacher you can find in BC. good luck!

Nicest, funniest, most understanding Jesuit you'll ever have the pleasure of taking class with. Highly recommend him!

Read the books, be prepared to talk about them, and you'll be fine.

Fr. Farrel is one of BC's best professors. He is witty, smart and well-versed with just about every writer in the Western Canon.
