One of the few professors I had that showed genuine passion for the material and his student's interaction with it. Seemed excited about showing you great or famous works and not just about the fact that he was center stage talking about them. Asked questions and genuinely listened to answers.

He's unconventional, meandering, and a little mad, but you will learn a lot from him, both as a writer and as a critical thinker.

You might love O'Har or you might hate him. He is very vocal about nearly every controversial topic even though they usually have nothing to do with the class. Some people found him funny, others found him to be too much. I had him for writing seminar and overall he's a nice guy and I did well on the papers. Maybe a bit crazy though.

O'Har gives the worst feedback out of every other English/writing professor I have ever had. He doesn't have a very clear grading rubric at all and every essay I submitted was pretty much a shot in the dark. Also has some controversial opinions and is VERY unnecessarily vocal about them in class. Funny guy sometimes, but would never take again.

You will read until your eyes bleed. He is pretty entertaining though, so it makes up for it.
