Scores average answered numerical ratings. Older evaluation records may summarize whole sections and have no written comment. Written reviews are counted separately. How scores work
This professor was without a doubt the worst instructor that I have ever had the displeasure of being "taught" by in my entire academic career. I have never felt more disgust at the lack of professionalism shown by someone who thinks so highly of himself. Avoid at all costs if you don't want to spend an entire semester teaching yourself the course.
There was a paper a week which was graded on a scale a 5 points, and this made up 50% of the grade. It was incredibly hard to get a 5. His office hours were utterly unhelpful, and he liked to hear himself talk more than he liked to offer help.
Prof. Risch's Logic class is definitely a challenge and not for the weary kind, but if anyone was going to teach it in a way that makes sense to anyone, it's him. He's always bringing positive energy to class, fosters an environment you want to be a part of, and is always available for extra help. Super charismatic, and overall a great experience.
Logic is really hard but Dr. Risch is incredibly helpful. He spent hours with me outside of class helping me learn the material. Although the subject matter is tough, he is beyond accommodating and really wants his students to succeed.
