Dr. Wasserstrom is one of the best professors I have ever had! She is always super excited to be in class and loves a lot of things. Her feedback was always immaculate and thorough. She taught me so many dope things about la petite mort. I wish she could teach all my classes for the rest of forever.

Dr. Wasserstrom is truly the best professor in the entire world! She's incredibly kind, smart, accessible outside of class, and open towards everyone's ideas! The course material is super interesting, and her insights and expertise in her field allow for eye-opening lectures and discussions. I could not recommend her enough!!

Professor Wasserstrom's passion and energy about the topics she teachers makes abstract content extremely engaging. Class discussions allow for students to learn from each other and she makes the environment very comfortable and supportive. Her ideas will definitely stick with me, wish I could take more of her classes.

Professor Wasserstrom is brilliant. She teaches with passion and really encourages you to speak. I feel open and excited to participate in class discussions. The topic of this class was also very stimulating to me. Given, I love English and discussing topics such as desire, lust, and pleasure. I could not recommend this class or Professor more.

The class is very discussion based and focused around student perception. The readings are often light and her papers are always short. She teaches in a way meant for people who love literature/poetry. All in all the work is not too demanding but it often feels like everything we talk about is vague, unending, and circuitous.

Her papers are few and far between, and come with very vague and hard to follow prompts. Her assignments are hard to complete and I feel like I don't learn much. If you're interested in abstract aspects of writing, you'll like the class

If you love English/writing, you'll probably enjoy her class, but if not, prepare for a lot of the class to feel abstract and pointless. We barely do any actual writing (3 essays each), and her prompts are pretty confusing. The homework apart from essays is really chill, but the essays are hard because it's hard to tell what she's looking for.
