*DO NOT TAKE* Hurley was an academic NIGHTMARE! Grading was a bewildering whirlwind of inconsistency. One assignment earns tons of praise, the next, inexplicably a failing grade with contradictory feedback. Her class felt like deciphering an ancient cryptic text. The experience wasn't challenging; it was a relentless assault on logic and reason!

Not at all shocked or surprised to see the absolutely scathing reviews for this professor. Just finished a horrible semester in her Ethical Issues in Cybersecurity course and I'm definitely not the only one. Unfortunately this is a core requirement and she's the only one teaching it so my advice would be to put this off and hope for a change.

The material is not bad for this class. The professor is very unreasonable and unclear on what the expectations are. Multiple people in this course had similar issues. The TA and professor were not on the same page. We received conflicting grades and comments on all assignments. The program is great but she definitely doesn't represent it well.

The worst professor I had during my college career. The feedback she provides is literal nonsense (a lot of writing, but provides no value). Questionable if she has knowledge in the field. Gives extra points for visuals, not for content. She goes back and re-grades things for no reason (i.e. one week its 100%, next week its 40%). Avoid if possible.

I try -very- hard not to be biased in my reviews here as I know personal feelings (receiving a poor grade, etc) can muddy the waters when it comes to providing an accurate rating on a professor's ability to teach a course. That being said, this old witch and her medieval teaching style are a MUST AVOID. I wish I had read the reviews on her below...

This probably is the most horrific professor that you may encounter during your entire academic journey. The university should conduct a review to see if there is any evidence of mental deterioration (i.e., dementia) that could disqualify her from teaching.

Assigned a $300 textbook that was used maybe twice. Ineffective and unorganized, cagey about what to expect from the final, inexplicable grading criteria. Class itself was not difficult, but no guidance was given as to how grades were determined. Would not take again.

The class itself is not difficult this professor just simply can not teach. They say "Those who can't do, teach." but what happens when they can't teach either? When you reach out for clarity she does not give it to you so you're better off just doing it your way. If this is not a required class for you please save yourself the stress
