Professor Tseng is a nice guy and he is passionate about the topics he teaches. He doesn't only teach the theory, but also tries to incorporate real-life examples and readings that relate what we do in class to the real world. The class is one of the most difficult classes I have taken at BC, but if you're willing to truly learn I recommend it!

I took Professor Tseng's Algorithms in the fall. He cares about his students and truly wants them to succeed. I would recommend taking him. Any algorithms class is hard, so expect this class to be no different. But take my word that he is a great professor.

I took Prof. Tseng's Algorithms (CSCI3383) and Distributed Systems (CSCI3359) at Boston College. I really liked his way of teaching, especially in Algorithms. For Distributed System, I think the subject itself was hard so I had trouble understanding materials in that course. But I really enjoyed his Algorithms course and I learned a lot.
