One of the worst professors I have ever had. He was unreachable outside of class, inside of class he was not helpful at all, and his notes/syllabus was inaccurate and inarticulate. He did not hand back a single graded assignment all semester and it has been two weeks since class ended and he has not posted a final grade yet. Worst class @ BC.
I have taken 3 classes with Professor Walsh. He is excellent and extremely knowledgeable. I learned a lot from him. If you have the desire to learn, then the workload is nothing.
Arrives late, having emailed class to start on assignment. Instruction is obscenely bad; dry, outdated, cryptic. Completely inflexible with due dates, including documented sickness. Changes requirements AFTER the assignment is completed. Insane work load. I would prefer not to graduate than take another class with him.
Often arrives late (45+min), having left a message to start work on your own. Doesn't provide support outisde classroom. Rather than lecture, reads from a script. Work load is severe; expect 15+ hours coding a week to perform well. Pop coding quizzes. Changed syllabus many times; included extra assignments for the final. To be avoided at all costs!

Great class. Not always clear in directions and so he can be confusing. He thinks at a higher level and needs to realize we are not there, yet.
