Professor Joe Morabito is a really nice man. I think he is new to teaching, but he is passionate, animated, and cares about his students' success. But, the test averages were painfully low, the class breaks your self esteem, consumes your thoughts, and is emotionally tough. The class is passable, but careful if your other courses are heavy.

Professor Morabito is young, animated, and applies the material to the real world. Grade is determined by tests and CPs. He is easily accessible outside of class. Lectures are often long and he talks quickly. You should do lots of book problems as tests are formatted like these problems. It is easier if you have a general idea of chemistry prior.

Took him last year. Wasn't to difficult but I didn't pay attention in the first half of the class and fell behind. Overall great guy.

Amazing guy. Amazing professor. Always there to help when you are in trouble. Tests are very manageable if you pay attention in class. All around should be an easy A for anyone who tries. Highly recommended.

For chem and society, he is a super nice guy and makes complicated chemistry topics understandable. He gives the possible quiz questions before the quiz and chooses 4 of them to test you on. He even has zoom sessions before to go over the questions and concepts. It does take him forever to grad, but it is hard not to get an A.

I took his Chemistry and Society class and I loved it. It was an easy A and the topics are super interesting. Total worth taking.

My first semester with him was tough. He was new to in person teaching and his tests were too ambiguous. So many people who switched to another professor for second semester regrets it now. He is so sweet and is always there to help. Take advantage of office ours and do practice problems and youll be okay. (20% of your grade is secured by the hw)

Morabito is honestly horrible. He traumatized me into thinking I didn’t want to be pre-med simply because his class was so hard. After taking it with a different Professor, I have seen he simply is not good at teaching the material. He’s a nice guy, but considering my lecture class went from 250 people to 45, I would say you should avoid him

Coming from someone who had Professor Morabito for two semesters, he has gotten MUCH better and you can tell he is trying to improve. Yes, it is a hard class, but he is very understanding and accessible, and the exams are much more manageable now. He is a very nice person, his teaching style just may not be for everyone.

Professor Morabito struggles with actually teaching relevant information for Gen Chem. His tests are almost impossible to the point that they are discouraging to take. Lectures are confusing and unhelpful as he introduces advanced concepts without the necessary background info. Gives complex problems with no previous exposure to the topics.

morabito was super nice, always willing to meet with me, and was so friendly. you won't find a guy who loves chemistry more. its tough, but its gen chem. he started out a bit rough but as a new professor, that is to be expected.

Morabito was definitely tough. At first, he really was ambiguous with his exam questions. In the end, though, his last two exams were incredibly manageable and he is such a kind, passionate, fun guy. I switched out of his course this semester and honestly really regret it.

Morabito is genuinely a nice guy, however, hes one of the worst professors Ive ever had. He simply presents information on slides instead of explaining and when he does explain stuff he does so in over complicated ways. His exams were challenging and werent on stuff we did in class. Overall, this class was discouraging and damaged my self esteem

Professor Morabito overall brought a lot of good energy, and he is definitely passionate about chemistry. However, I think his lack of experience shows through the huge difference between the difficulty in his class example problems and exam questions. To be fair to him, he did make our third exam this semester a lot easier than the other two.

Professor Morabito as a relatively new professor began this year pretty bad, having low averages on his exams. That happened because the problems on the exams weren't covered in class so you needed a real understanding of the material to be able to do them, but after the two exams, he changed completely his way of testing making them way easier.

Prof Morabito is vert nice and knowledgeable. However, his class single handedly RUINED my GPA. This class is so unnecessarily hard and will have you putting hours and hours of work into it only for you to get less than mediocre results. Dont even bother going to lecture. Just get a tutor and teach yourself the information from the textbook.

Morabito is a great guy, but is literally the worst professor I've ever had. Being on the pre-med track, he single handedly ruined my planned track and ruined my GPA so I was forced to to take a withdrawal from the course during my first semester. He doesn't bother going over basics so if you haven't taken AP Chem transfer while you can.

Professor Morabito definitely has a passion for chemistry. He often introduced very difficult concepts without explaining the background information needed to understand the concepts. In addition, he often had to change due dates because he did not have assignments completed to post. Overall, Professor Morabito's class was unnecessarily difficult.

You have to work hard in this class and stay committed. However, I do agree that you gotta work a lot on your own and use the textbook. The curve is pretty big because he's aware that his exams are difficult. Being on the PreMed track, I'm happy I had him as a teacher because the challenge taught me a lot about my academic abilities.

Professor Morabito is a very nice man, however one of the hardest professors I have had. His exam average for the first two exams were in the low 40s and very discouraging to take. His lectures move so fast and the material is barely even covered. I have basically had to teach myself the whole semester worth of material. Would not recommend.

I found that Professor Morabito is a very intelligent person and was passionate about chemistry but could not teach. Coming from AP Chemistry, the explained everything in extremely overcomplicated ways that I could not understand. The test average very painfully low and I found that the lectures confused me more than helped. The textbook was better

He's a nice (mostly) well-meaning guy, but he simply does not know how to teach and test students. I understand that gen chem is supposed to be hard and the averages are supposed to be low, but a 40 average on 2 separate exams is just not ok. He explains things in incredibly overcomplicated ways and tests us on things we have barely into depth on.

prof. Morabito is definitely passionate about chemistry and teaching but makes it super difficult to understand concepts and usually introduces advanced topics without background knowledge. Everyone I know in the class has been struggling.
Semester not recorded
Professor Morabito is a very nice person who is very enthusiastic about chemistry, and oftentimes his lectures have some good explanations. However, the lectures do not prepare you for the level of difficulty of his exams, which have very low averages. Your TA will probably teach you the content more in discussion.
Semester not recorded
Although he is nice, passionate, and knowledgeable about chemistry, he is very ineffective at teaching the material. Lectures focus on background material which is never covered in the tests, which are impossible and introduce new concepts never before seen in class. Your grade will suffer unless you dedicate yourself to becoming a chemist.

Professor Morabito is a very nice and friendly person who is clearly passionate about Chemistry. However, he often gets wrapped up in his passion and doesn't communicate things clearly. Often times difficult concepts are not only glossed over, but made even more confusing, to the point where you'd learn more by just reading the book.
Semester not recorded
Morabito is a very nice and friendly guy who is super passionate about the subject. However, he gets overwhelmingly excited about background information that is not needed for exams and never gets to the actual content needed to be covered. The tests are overwhelmingly hard and solely based on math, nothing that is even touched upon in class.
Semester not recorded
Very passionate about what he teaches and this shows this in his lectures as it can sometimes be entertaining to be there but that doesn't make up for the incredibly poor way he teaches new concepts and impossible tests. Almost just throws you into complex problems with little to no explanation of the background information needed to solve them.
Semester not recorded
Morabito is super enthusiastic about chemistry, but it doesn't make up for the impossible exams and extremely rushed and confusing lectures. Super math-heavy class - that is all that is on the exams (which count for 80% of your grade). Concepts are over-complicated, and everyone in the class is under constant stress.

Nicest guy ever, but makes less than no sense. His office hours are max 15minutes long and he does not help in the slightest. His exams are brutal and the questions make you apply the curriculum to such confusing concepts. The average on the exams are always in the 40s and everyone I knew taking it was not having a good time.
