Scores average answered numerical ratings. Older evaluation records may summarize whole sections and have no written comment. Written reviews are counted separately. How scores work
He's your standard Gen Chem professor; would ABSOLUTELY recommend for a first semester freshman. I only didn't do great because I had a high school mentality from freshman year. He will teach you the basics well; exams ARE FAIR if you actually READ THE BOOK AND DO THE HOMEWORK. Actually study for quizzes. Understand material as much as you can.
Professor Davidovits is such a great human being! I had Fox originally last year and I dropped because he was too tough a grader and rather rude when we didn't do well. Prof. D teaches in a way that makes sense, doesn't waste our time with busy work such that we can study effectively, his exams are fair, and is easily accessible outside of class.
Professor Davidovits shows interest in the subject at hand by giving his students insight of chemistry beyond the classroom and labs. Even though the class is lecture heavy you will do fine on the exams as long as you do the designated homework problems and practice more problems that are shown in the book.
Took Freshman Topic Seminar (Nature of Inquiry) and loved it. Class consisted of posing questions we were curious about and discussing them in a group setting. Davidovits was Academic Advisor for his topic seminar class. Tried to push Chem as much as possible, regardless of major, but good advice and good-humored.

He gives homework that helps a lot for the midterms. You can pass the class without going to lectures, he usually steer off topic
