This is a review for his marketing class at Indiana University. He seems like a nice guy outside of the classroom, but he just isn't good at teaching. He is not helpful at all in terms of feedback, gives vague instructions, and grades extremely harshly given that the instructions are lacking. I don't feel like I've learned anything in his class.

I find it frustrating to be a student of Matthew O'Hern. He gives incredibly convoluted instructions in his assignments that left me and my classmates more confused about what to do, rather than how to do it. he also just has a complete superiority complex when it comes to aesthetic design + copywriting that discourages students from being creative

Very ambiguous grading scheme for assignments, questionable value-add marketing work included in HW assignments that don't really add value or reflect what we learned. Very wordy in lectures Getting a B is obtainable but an A is impossible. His grading criteria is too ambiguous and he never clarifies assumptions (for diff course than selected)

I loved Professor O'Hern! He was passionate about marketing and clearly cared about his students.

Hybrid class. Not good with technology. Quizzes are kinda hard and very specific. Homework is pretty simple and easy. Discussion posts are easy, just take a bit of time. Project is time consuming, and difficult. Professor grades things harshly, and seems to take points off for no reason. Goes through slides quickly. Zoom discussions rooms useless
