Very interesting guy, super cool to get to hear from someone who has actual clinical experience. He was a little checked out becuase it was his last year here, but super interesting class
Teaching style is very chill, gets straight to the point. Tries his best to make us understand and even goes beyond the curriculum trying to prepare us for the future (clinicals or future nursing courses). Has a unique sense of humor especially for his morning classes. Feels like one of us instead of a professor; very chill and helps us out.
He's mildly condescending sometimes, but is also very funny and honest. Definitely cares about what he's doing and wants to see his students succeed. As someone who had taken anatomy in high school, I wouldn't necessarily say he explains everything perfectly, but he gives all of the resources needed to do well.
Neuroscience of Pain has been my favorite class at BC so far. Dr. Mott is a doctor of physical therapy and has so much knowledge in the field. The material was so interesting and I found myself applying it to my life and often talking to my friends about things I was learning. GREAT experience and easy to do well if you put in the work.
Taking Dr. Mott's "Neuroscience of Pain" class was one of the best decisions I made during my sophomore year. He taught neuroscience in a very applicable way to everyday life and every career path. It was an honor to learn from Dr. Mott.
Easy class to pass as long as you study, lots of group work every week. Exams are multiple choice and he is very lenient with deadlines and quiz grades.
