I took Professor McIntyre for APSY1031 (Family, School, and Society) and it was the best class I have ever taken here at BC. She is so funny and caring. Her lectures are so good, she tells so many stories. You write a short paper each week, which is usually based off of interesting topics and she loves personal input or experience with the topics,
Professor McIntyre is one of the few teachers I can say that I has truly had an impact of my learning experience. She values creating connections with her students and a comforting atmosphere. We had amazing class discussions and unique but enjoyable assignments that helped me understand a ton of new perspectives. Take her if you can!
Prof McIntyre is genuinely one of the best people at BC. She is very funny, intelligent and compassionate. Her years of experience in social justice and education fill her lectures with vibrant and entertaining personal tangents and stories, with a well-balanced academic focus. Lots of papers, but no exams. She is simply the best.
Took Prof. McIntyre's Social Oppression and Transformation class in Lynch. Not a difficult class, but I still learned a lot. Very passionate lecturer, but can tend to go off on tangents and get behind schedule. She is not afraid to make her political views known, but is not hostile to other opinions. She cares deeply about her students.
