class should honestly be renamed to Thucydides and the history of the Peloponnesian war because that's all we talked about
Although he is a nice professor, his lectures are extremely confusing and very hard to follow. Most of the work and readings are just his textbook and the class just kind of drags on. No exams but a few papers throughout the year that are extremely vague/broad. Wouldn't really recommend
10/10 would take again
The absolute GOAT
Very nice person but the most disorganized person ever. His calculations and class notes were wrong so everybody then wrote down the wrong information. Only take if you are a very smart math and chemistry brained person.
Great art history professor, very passionate about the material she teaches and very knowledgable. Sometimes she is quite particular about certain things but other than that I recommend
Best Professor out there omg. This class literally changed my life and the way I view the world and religion. You are lucky if you can take this class. The reading and oral exams are sometimes alot but it is so so worth it trust me
Tacelli is the best professor at this school. Take him if possible trust me
She’s literally the best professor for FYW. She’s very understanding of all her students, the kindest and most patient professor ever. The class is structured around essay assignments and reflections. Very chill about deadlines. She’s very “go with the flow”. Definitely recommend taking her.
Not a good professor; Forces us to do AI assignments that are useless and is harsh with exams (no partial credit). He also doesn't teach very well, granted econ is a boring subject but he doesn't help.
Really good professor for introduction to international relations, everything we learn in the class is on the exam, no sneak questions. Very interesting lecture. only 3 exams and an essay.

COMM 1031: Public Speaking Take her for public speaking if you can! She is great, and genuinely wants you to feel comfortable in your public speaking skills. Not a harsh grader, but gives really good feedback - follow instructions and you'll be fine.
POLI2409 · Revolution, Nationalism, and State Building in the Middle East
She is literally the best professor I've had at BC. Such an amazing lecturer and a great person. As someone who didn't have much background in the middle east going in, she completely changed my perspective. If you are a poli sci or international studies major TAKE HER
Very nice guy, very bad professor. Gives you the notes of class and hw not graded which is great, but exams are very specific and essay topics are so specific to the exact dates and niche topics. Honestly do not take this class if you want it for an easy history core
Prof. Grube is such a great human being, and funny. He deeply passionate about history but I do think he speaks too fast and his midterm and final was brutal, I recommend take notes and review them after class and please go to office hours. He doesn't share the slides with the class.
Truly Iconic professor. Finding another one of his students is an instant connection. Had us to his house for dinner, had amazing classes week in and week out. Passionate, funny, smart. Take for the experience.
Just take his class, just do it. Engaging, exciting, helpful. Great professor.
PSYC2272 · Cognitive Psychology: Mental Processes and their Neural Substrates
So much work for one class, very disorganized and the grading scale is out of 100 the entire class, so every point you lose in any assignment or quiz, is a percent of your final grade.
Professor Stockbridge is the GOAT. I had him for Financial Accounting, and he explains everything very clearly. If you’re ever confused in class, go to his office hours. He’s super helpful and will make sure you understand the material. Highly recommend!
WORST STATS CLASS
Nicest professor ever and super interesting to listen to.
elite- kind of underground bc hes newish but excellent prof doesn't make stuff too hard good guy overall as well- not gonna change your life prob but you can not go wrong- take him 100%
The Man
honestly one of the best teachers out there. makes german useful in the real world and doesn't just recite from a textbook.
SCHI3040 · Health and the Environment: People, Policy and Technology
It can be quite boring at times, but he was lenient with me. Some people mentioned bias in grading, not sure if it applied to me. Not an econ-heavy class, felt more like an environment. Not a difficult class except for the oral final at the end, just need to prep for that.
I agree with the other reviews. Way too hard for a core science. You had to study a lot of the tutorials and understand them. He never gave out answer keys to tutorials. Final was extremely cumulative and had stuff from day 1!
Great prof! Can be a bit boring trying to sit through 3 hour lecture but interesting content. He graded pretty fairly and gave mostly A-'s. When speaking he prefers quantity over quality so know what you're talking about. Do or skim readings incase he calls on you.
Put in a ton of effort in this class and couldn't pull out the A. Tests are very hard with incredibly specific questions. He's also not a believer in partial credit. Very difficult for an intro class. Would not recommend.
Attendance is necessary, but other than that, super easy class. He is obviously passionate and has some weird references at times, but overall good class for an easy Phil elective
