professor is very funny and if you skim the readings before lecture you'll be fine because he goes over it. that being said there are weekly quizzes in discussion section based on the most irrelevant random details that have nothing to do with reading comprehension.
if you aren't a bio major DO NOT take this class
UNAS 2211 Food,Race and Nation | Her classes are nice and simple, course fulfills cultural diversity core(I think) and if you genuinely enjoy food and/or Asian American history you'll find the material interesting, she brings food sometimes to class which is really great, awesome final project
If you studied Econ before, just take a test and do the work she gives you. Otherwise, if you have never studied before, don't take it.
I think she's one of the best professors for business coding, explains all the concepts in a very very understandable way and helps everyone. Definitely reccomend.
I think he is a must-take philosophy professor. His style is different, not really engaging, sometimes boring. Yet, through yap there is a lot of high-level discussions, content, and learning with jokes here and there. He is a real one.
Very eccentric character that cares for his students. Gets along greatly with everyone as long as you attend and participate.
Passionate guy who teaches interesting material in a new light. Yet, his ego shines through at times, and he is a overly-harsh grader. Overall mixed bag.
Not great, not bad. Pretty boring and dry, but pretty easy quizzes and exams. It'll be a fine way to fulfill your history core.
(Developmental Psych class) Good professor, very kind and forgiving. I would only say that the class can be a bit dry, but has some parts that are very interesting. I would definitely recommend you take Prof. Mitra.
Really great professor, very straightforward and fascinating class. Probably my favorite class at BC so far. Definitely take Prof. Kane.
As a decent writer, I do not think it is possible to get an A, let alone a B+ in his class without devoting your life to the art of writing.
Avoid at all costs. He barely explains anything, you would be better off just studying from the textbook. He is the perfect example of a professor who cares only about research, but does not know how to teach.
for genchem 2, lecture was organized and exams weren't completely unreasonable. But, I don't feel like he's great at explaining why concepts are the way they are or connecting them to previous ideas. I felt like I had to teach myself a lot of that
Super old guy with really boring lectures. But, I studied and did the readings with friends and we all got above 100 in the class
Pretty much all review if you took AP Bio. The exams were generally pretty hard and detailed but Professor Taghian is very receptive and helpful in office hours.
Very nice guy, really interested in philosophy and his students' experiences
Lectures aren't recorded but feel like a giant waste of time. She doesn't come prepared and often only gets through about 5 slides of information. You can skip/ skim most readings though and get through in discussion.
He's very helpful in office hours but lectures are just copying long definitions. The tests are short and weighted very heavily, so a small mistake will cost you. Also, weekly problem sets graded for accuracy.
I have taught myself everything this semester. If you can getting put in his Orgo, do it.
She is a very sweet and understanding professor. There are a few readings for every class but they are interesting. She's very open to feedback and changes her lesson plans according to student interests.
He is very nice and cares a lot about the subject. Very kind during office hours. You do have to listen and take detailed notes in class to do well on the exams are hard.
Very clear and organised professor. Everything is neatly laid out on canvas and lectures are very easy to understand and digest. All exams are on canvas to take outside of class. Participation is a big part of class. Highly recommend taking it though.
Her tests will have SUPER SMALL DETAILS and even if you thought you knew the answer, the wording of the questions are MADE TO TRICK YOU no matter how well you know the material. Also the TAs are all useless and on a power trip for some reason when it comes to grading.
Nice, and funny guy. Made the material much more confusing than it was. Should've been easy A but his teaching style and organization made this class extremely hard to follow. Curve in the class, though.
She is perhaps the most "lenient" professor you will ever have in college, and do not think that emailing her asking about your grades is a good idea.
She is perhaps also the most "diligent" professor you will ever have in college, and do not think that I mean this as a compliment.
I can't recommend her enough! She is so incredibly sweet, understanding, and helpful. The class material isn't so bad either def go for her!!
Legend, this class is super easy and he's great. If you don't get 100 on a test you can make up all the points.
one of my favorite classes, was so so good
simply the best i love her so much
