He is very helpful and passionate about what he does. He will go off on a tangent about some aspect of the sociopolitical state of the world every class or so, but, it is very interesting. Also, I didn't know it was possible for someone to be this big of a soccer fan.
Very nice and joyful person, but a very critical and passive aggressive instructor.
Professor Valencius is very kind, thoughtful, and cares about her students so much. Not only is she organized but she is very passionate about the subject she teaches. Make sure to attend lectures, do the readings, and go to office hours because she will give you a lot of good advice.
She is a really nice person, and genuinely passionate about economics. Tests can be hard but if you lock in you'll be fine.
Great person, great professor, very passionate about music. Explains terms clearly, although you should do work outside of class to if you are new to music theory. Even if you came from a non-musical background this class is manageable.
Father Murphy is very knowledgable as well as being kind and understanding. His class mainly run in a lecture format that covers a long time period so there is a lot to cover. Papers are straightforward and exams are all take home.
One of, if not the, best teachers I've ever had. LOVE HER
Biggest Wesner fan ever. A++++++++++++++
I had him for Calc 2 and he was super nice. Exams are definitely fair and he will curve if the average is low. Class is structured nicely along with the textbook and he's helpful during office hours if you go. Definitely recommend!
Great class and excellent prof. Exams are almost your entire grade, so you definitely have to study.
Worst professor at boston college. not too difficult to get an A but such a horrible professor.
Funny guy that makes a long period interesting. 2 tests that were pretty straightforward but he takes off points for very specific things. 1 paper that was relatively simple. Overall funny guy and relatively easy class.
Awesome class. Cool stories about prof getting kicked out of Russia. Genuinely a very intellectually stimulating class that forces students to think for themselves about the state of the world. Workload and grading was demanding but not too demanding.
Glad I took this as my THEO requirement. Pino is a nice guy, class does not require much work. Only one oral midterm that is pretty straightforward. The final is a group project. He's goated.
Professor Pino is great. He is really passionate about the course and love when people engage in dialogue. Easy weekly reflections, pretty chill oral midterm, and the final is a group project. Perfect for a theology core.
Topical case readings, easy to participate in class, and clear expectations for exams and the research paper. Prof. Scheufele truly cares about the subject, and you will learn a lot. Highly recommend this class.
If you are interested in this stuff feel free to take it, but its an annoying amount of memorization and you will be docked if you don't use the exact terminology he is looking for on the exams. Cool dude, but there are easier electives if that is what you are looking for.
professor zhang is amazing. i had a hard time with calculus before and was worried about retaking it. however, his teaching makes concepts easy to understand, and it's clear that he genuinely cares about his students. 100% recommend
I didn't have his section, but he frequently came in when our professor was out and was very helpful and outgoing. Also held open office hours for both sections and put his all into helping, shoutout Goatkins no one does it better than you.
I thought I knew what I was doing. Needless to say, I dropped the class in October.
Jokes aside though, it is really tough but not impossible, just make sure to review the material very often. Also, all the Gen Chem professors are harsh in their own way, so you just have to choose your battle.
Class is super easy if you're just a little woke
Hard quizzes, hard midterm (day after fall break), horrible and boring lectures that go all over the place
Really liked Professor Lucas as a person and honestly think he makes the material interesting. My only complaint is that at times the material feels easy so it seems to be graded on a subjective basis.
Definitely difficult, but will be completely fine if you stay on top of things. Not heavy work wise. Tests will often throw a curveball that you will need to truly understand the material to get correctly.
A great and fun professor, you can tell he truly loves what he does. Almost more of a history class than a theology class for the most part, but he incorporates both so well. Only assignments are the readings which are relatively short (typically not more than 10 pages a class, oftentimes less)
Actually one of the most compelling teachers at BC and even encouraged me to potentially look into a career in law. If you read the mindtap readings, you will do well in the class
Her coding class was very structured and easy to understand. Class attendance was not necessary, but her explanations and pacing was helpful. She also had a bunch of office hours and responded quickly to emails. Overall, great professor.
OD work for a 1 credit class.
Most boring lectures ever. Sooooooo boring. Class is too much work for a class with its title. Min is self-absorbed and thinks he's Socrates.
Great professor. Very kind and engaging. Tough grader though (might be genuinely impossible to get an A). Impossible to get under a B+ though.
