one of my favorite profs I've had at BC- doesn't expect too much but you get rewarded if you pay attention and participate- very nice guy on top of that cares about his classes for sure and the info he teaches I think is very useful without any fluff and you learn a lot

Very engaging and interesting professor. There are no tests, just problem sets and longer data projects which really helps to apply your learning beyond the theory. Don’t be afraid to take honors!

Kristen Conroy

ENGR1801 · Making the Modern World: Design, Ethics & Engineering

Would take again

The class is amazing and super interesting. Conroy is not the best. Conroy is very OD in terms of grading. She once took .1 a point off for a conversion I clearly laid out. She's not the worst at lecture at least. She's not as bad as these reviews may have you think.

Historical reviewMay 3, 2026

Jenna Tonn

Please do not take this class if you have not taken physics previously. You will be studying for eternity to try and get a good score. I will say, Ilija makes all the difference in this class. He has a good lecture style, and truly wants you to succeed. Curve is also great.

Kathleen Wilson

EESC1176 · Living on the Coast

Would take again

Professor Wilson is a great and caring professor. Grading is strict, so don't take LOTC if you expect an easy A but material is interesting and she is an amazing lecturer.

Oliver Rafferty

HIST1002 · Europe in the World II

Would not take again

Very nice guy and great priest, but not a very good professor. You don't really have to go to class as long as you pick up the lecture notes, but the exams are weirdly difficult and specific and require a lot of studying and rote memorization of dates. Not an easy core class

Historical reviewApr 28, 2026

John Driscoll

Would not take again

I took Fast I with Professor Driscoll and did not have a good experience. He is a super nice guy, but the tests are extremely hard, and a lot of the lectures don't make sense.
